A refund policy, AKA a return policy, is verbiage on a website that explains how a company handles returns and refunds for products or services. The refund policy should be listed at the footer of the webpage and can include:
Return Conditions - Whether customers can return items, how long they have to do so, and what the condition of the items must be
Refund Conditions - When customers are eligible for a refund, and whether the refund is contingent on a return
Refund Process - How long it takes to issue a refund, and the method of refund (store credit or original payment method)
Other Details - Whether a receipt or proof of purchase is required, if shipping costs are refundable, or if store credits are available for certain items
