Refund Policy

Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. (“Wild Bird Rescue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization. This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for donations and any other payments made through wildbirdrescuewf.org (the “Website”).


By submitting a donation or payment through our Website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.


1) Donations (General Policy)

Donations made to Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. are generally considered final and non-refundable. Donations directly support our mission and are typically used immediately to fund rescue operations, animal care, rehabilitation supplies, and organizational needs.


2) Refund Eligibility (When a Refund May Be Considered)

Although donations are generally non-refundable, Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. may consider a refund request under limited circumstances, including:

  • Duplicate donations (for example, the same donation processed more than once)
  • Incorrect donation amount entered by mistake (for example, an extra zero added)
  • Unauthorized transaction (for example, fraud or payment made without the donor’s permission)
  • Technical error in the donation system (for example, a system issue resulting in an unintended charge)

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval is not guaranteed.


3) Refund Request Timeframe

To be eligible for review, refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the donation or payment date. Requests submitted after 30 days may be denied due to processing limitations and accounting requirements.


4) How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. and include the following information:

  • Donor full name
  • Email address used for the donation (if available)
  • Date of donation/payment
  • Donation amount
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Any relevant confirmation number or receipt details

We may request additional information to verify the transaction and protect against fraud.


5) Refund Method and Processing Time

If a refund is approved, it will be issued back to the original payment method when possible. Processing time may take 5–10 business days depending on the payment processor and financial institution.


Third-party processors may charge processing fees that are non-refundable. To the extent permitted by the processor’s policies, those fees may be deducted from the refunded amount.


6) Chargebacks and Disputed Transactions

If you believe a donation was fraudulent or unauthorized, we encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the issue quickly.


If a donor initiates a chargeback through their bank or card issuer, the payment provider may reverse the transaction and may apply additional fees. We may suspend further online donation processing for that donor if misuse or fraud is suspected.


7) Goods, Services, or Event Payments (If Applicable)

If Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. offers products, event registrations, or service-related payments through the Website in the future, additional refund terms may apply and will be posted on the applicable checkout page or event page.
